Horizons Community Church is located at 14120 North 79th Avenue in Peoria (just North of Thunderbird). With easy access from the Loop 101, we are just minutes away from all parts of the Valley.
About Our Worship Service:
Horizons seeks to have a very contemporary approach to ministry. The Sunday morning worship is led by a band and vocal team. Drama and special music are a regular part of the Sunday services. As our worship services are designed primarily for adults and youth, we have excellent programming for children in our nursery, preschool, and Sunday school. Junior and Senior high students participate in the 9:00 am service and attend a special Youth Service at 10:30 am.

• What should I wear?
Whatever makes you comfortable! The atmosphere around Horizons is definitely casual, with people wearing anything from business casual to shorts and sandals.
• Will I be asked to give anything?
No. In fact, each week before our offering, we ask those who are visiting us NOT to give. We're not after your money. We want people to give to the ministry of our church as they feel God's leading.
• What is a typical Sunday service like?
A typical service is made up of upbeat, energetic music that will wake you up in the morning. We follow that with more reflective music which is designed to give you the opportunity to draw close to God and prepare your heart for the teaching time. No long sermons, either! On Sundays that include drama and special music, we'll still have you out the door in less than 75 minutes. You'll still have plenty of time to enjoy your Sunday. Each week, refreshments are offered in the lobby between services for you to meet new friends and spend time with people that you already know.
• Do you have small groups?
Absolutely! Small groups are at the core of Horizons. These groups meet on a regular basis throughout the school year. Some of the best friends you'll ever have are just waiting to meet you at a small group! Click here to go directly to our small group page.
• What do you have for my teenagers?
Teens are encouraged to attend the 9:00 am service with their parents, although they usually end up sitting together on one side of the auditorium. During the 10:30 service, we offer a special service just for teens with a student-led worship band and various speakers. Our Senior High students meet on Sunday nights from 6:00-8:00 pm for a variety of activities. Junior High students meet for THURSDAY NIGHT LIVE (TNL) from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
