Tony Brittin, Senior Pastor

Tony moved to AZ from Southern California in 1994 to plant a church. That church plant merged with another local church in 2004 and Horizons was born. He and his wife Cynthia live in Peoria and have 2 grown children. Tony loves to eat ice cream and play racquetball, but isn't too fond of cats.

Jeff Gentry, Associate Pastor

Jeff has been in the ministry for over 20 years and has been the Associate Pastor at Horizons since 2005. He and his wife, Shari, have 4 children, all of whom were adopted from Korea. If you invite Jeff to your home for a meal, please do not serve him okra.

Troy Norling, Youth Pastor

Troy has been in Youth Minisitry for over 20 years and has been at Horizons since 2004. He and his wife Liz have one son and live in the Horizon's neighborhood. Troy's greatest accomplishment in recent years is the development of the TN Special, which can now be ordered at several local restaurants.

Angela Basso, Children's Ministry Director

Angela joined the team in 2007. If you've ever spoken with her, this may come as a shock....she is not a native Arizonan! She's actually from Tennessee.  She and her husband Tim live in the church neighborhood and have 4 boys.

  

Rusty Ackman, Junior High Ministry Director

Formerly known as 'Rusty The Intern,' Rusty has now officially joined the staff as the fearless leader of our Junior Highers. He is also a full time student, studying to be a Youth Pastor. Very few people know Rusty's real  first name.  Even fewer know his middle name.

 

Lory Owsely, Office Manager

Lory is a native of AZ...one of the few and proud!  She has been the Office Manager at Horizons since 2007. She and her husband, Cliff, have 2 daughters. She would also want you to know that she has a precious new grandson! Lory has several pets, but most famous is her talking Chihuahua.

 

Shari Gentry, Communication Director

Shari has been the Communication Director at Horizons since 2007. Prior to that she was a teacher in the Peoria School District and loves bumping into former students (who are now grown!). She is married to Horizon's Associate Pastor, Jeff. She loves okra.

  

Richard Angelo, Sanitation Engineer

Richard has been working with Pastor Tony since 2002. If you need to find something, move something, or fix something at Horizons, he is your man.  Richard has lived in the Phoenix area for 24 years. If you give him chocolate, he will be your best friend...for life!
